The Whispering Waters Ecovillage
Co-owning , co-living , co-creating, co-cultivating and co-existing amidst nature. Ours is a vision of a diverse community that regnerates and contributes to nature via thoughtful application of Permaculture principles

About Whispering Waters
Whispering Waters is an ecovillage, permaculture farm and food forest spread across 5.5 acres, situated in close proximity to the stunning Dhokshet Lake, near Khopoli, Maharashtra.
For those new to this, an ecovillage is a small, self-sufficient community that aims to be sustainable in social, cultural, economic, and environmental ways; and ultimately every eco-village is different but shares common principles that guide living in sustainable conscious ways.
Our community is a collective of 7 eco-conscious families and at Whispering Waters ecovillage, we focus on using renewable materials, conserving water, growing our own food organically, and reducing waste and harm to the environment. We have designed it using permaculture, which is an ethical design system that mimics nature's patterns to create sustainable and productive human settlements by working with natural systems, fostering biodiversity, and minimising waste.

The Inspiration for Whispering Waters
Imagine a life where you are in complete harmony - with nature, with people and with yourself.
Whispering Waters began as a vision by to create an eco-village & permaculture farm,
where a community of like-minded and passionate nature lovers could join in to make
a dream into reality.
For this a beautiful piece of land was acquired, set in pristine nature adjoining Dokshet
lake, close to Mumbai and just 25 kms from Imagica, Khopoli. The process
then began to create a community and eco-movement that recognised that people are not
separate from nature. This community would work together to protect natural
resources, promote biodiversity, have shared ideals and values, work for the good of
the community and also commercially share the benefits of social enterprises and
community programs and share the profit.
With 8 families aligned to this vision and inspired to make a difference, we have worked hard to get to make this vision into a reality.
